THE ABDOMEN / ABDOMINOPLASTY

Abdominoplasty Tunisia

Indications

In case of a little round belly without skin distension, a simple lipo-suction should be performed. It will be supplemented by skin resection in the case of a small round belly with small skin excess. Finally, if your belly is severely deteriorated, specially due to successive pregnancies with fat and skin excess, a complete abdominal plasty must be practised.

Abdominoplasty : small round belly without skin distension:

Principle : a lipo-aspiration (fat suction) is practiced by a small incision and it does not make leave any scar.
Operation : It takes about 1 hour and can be done under local or general anaesthesia; the duration of hospitalization is from few hours till 24 hours.
Operative follow-up : the resumption of work can be done between the 4th and 8th day.
Result : the final result is obtained in 3 to 6 months, the stomach is progressively deflating. If the belly has some irregularities, they are generally within that period, depending on the quality of skin and the age of the patient.

Abdominoplasty : small round belly with little skin excess

Principle : We associate liposuction and skin resection which allows the skin’s stretching out through removing the fat from the belly.
The incision is small, level with the pubic hair.
Operation : It lasts between 1h and 1h:30 and can be done under local or general anaesthesia, the hospitalization’s duration is from 24h to 48 hours.
Operative follow-up : the follow-up is usually rapid; resumption of work can be done from the 8th jour.

Abdominoplasty : severely deteriorated belly with fat and skin excess

Principle : In this case, we must practice a full- abdominal plasty. It helps to redraw the size, refine the silhouette by reviving the abdominal muscles.
Operation : The incision is depending on the case, horizontal above the pubis or vertical, or 2 combined. The operation requires 3 days of hospitalization
Operative follow-up : there must be a stoppage of work from 15 days to 3 weeks, the sutures are removed at about the 21st day. The scar is progressively reduced from 1 to 2 years.
Result : if the result is usually excellent, the quality of the scar depends on the skin and the traction to be achieved. If the unsightly scar remains after 1 year, a small recovery can be improved. This intervention often ensures better general static, the final result is obtained in 6 months to 1 year.
Complications : infrequent complications are essentially lymph flow during 8 days after the operation, problem often solved in 15 days.
